Well, today marks 2 years here in Hawaii, and living back at the place I called home for 13 years has been absolutely incredible!
But, as it comes with this military life, home always changes!
So, today, I am officially announcing that
we are moving to San Diego next year!
In a year’s time, we will be packing up our shorts, tank tops and slippers, leave behind the palm trees and blue waters, to well, head to another place that we can wear and see exactly that!!
Sure, it’s going to be different, but let me tell you, we are EXCITED!!!!
My husband is originally from Northern California, and he has been trying to get to San Diego his entire career! Now, right as he hits 20 years of serving our country, he will finally get that chance!!!
Now, what does that mean for me here in Hawaii?
Look, I’ve been an INCREDIBLE brand here in Hawaii! Being able to photograph 40 weddings a year, not to mention a ton of portraits, it would be CRAZY for me to give it up, especially as I’ll be a quick flight away!
I will still be photographing weddings and portraits here on the islands!!!!
It will just be a bit different! I already have 8 weddings for 2020, so I am absolutely coming back for those, and for families, engagements and such, I will batch that around my travel schedule!
ALSO, Vanessa Hicks Photography will not only be a one woman show anymore! I will be bringing on associate photographers who will be part of my brand, photographing weddings and portraits that I can’t, but you will still receive the same love, care, edit and support that IS ME!!!
So WHEW, lots and lots to do and plan for in the next year!!
I am so grateful to be reaching year 5 in this business, moving to now 4 different states in that time frame, and still having your support and love along the journey!!!
I can’t wait to enjoy our last year here in Hawaii, and can’t wait to see what San Diego has to offer!
And, if you are planning a California wedding for 2020, let’s chat!! I may or may not, but definitely DO have a special discount for you!
