Alix and Kyle are such a stunning and sweet couple! I mean, check out their amazing love story:
Kyle and I met living in NYC about two and a half years ago. We both happened to live on the upper east side, work in medicine and had mutual friends but somehow our paths never crossed until…you guessed it we swiped right. Each of us skeptical of dating life in NYC we both showed up a bit tipsy to our first date…only to then hit it off and want to see each other again and again. It didn’t take long after that for us to fall in love and start our life together with our chocolate lab Zara and tabby cat Bandit. We enjoy traveling, finding local spots to eat, drink and explore, the beach and spending time with our family and friends. We recently moved to San Diego from NYC to be closer to family (Kyle grew up here) and bought our first home in Carlsbad.
A few weeks ago, my mom came to visit (my family is from Florida) and took me to breakfast ,followed by a walk on the beach near our house. Little did I know Kyle was hiding up on the cliffs to pop the question . His brother hiding with a camera to capture the beautiful moment. Afterwards we went back to our home, and I walked in to find our house full of our closest family and friends! Many of whom flew from all over the country for our surprise engagement party…cue the happy ugly tears. It was so far the best day of our lives, and we can’t even imagine how amazing our wedding day will be sharing our love with everyone we love.

Their wedding will be at L’Auberge Del Mar in California. I photographed a beautiful wedding there this summer. When Alix inquired with me, she was a client referral from one of my former couples! The day that they went on a venue tour at L’Auberge Del Mar, was the day I was photographing a wedding there!!!

Alix and Kyle were looking for a nice, fun and relaxed engagement session! We headed down to the beach in San Diego on one of the most perfect Southern California days, and even got in the water!! Then, it was a quick outfit change, which I always recommend, and finished off the night at Sunset Cliffs!
