Hello and happy Thursday!!! Sorry it’s been so quiet on the blog! I was in Texas visiting my family that I haven’t seen in a number of years, and where I was at had no internet in the house 🙁 So the blog has been quiet this week!!!
I have been so excited about this thoughtful thursday!! Today, I get to look back on what a year it’s been!!!
So, today is the ULTIMATE #tbt! A year ago today, my #flagbaby image went viral and it changed me and my business forever.
Now, it didn’t go viral in the way anyone would want it to go.
No, it started with death threats, cyber bullying, hate, and intent to end my business.

I lucked out though. I stood firm for an image that I believed in. Then, the message of this photo turned, and it was seen all around the world.
It brought hope.
People were moved by this image.
It stated a debate.
But most importantly, it showed people all over the world what our service members are willing to die for. Their family, their country, and their freedom. A year ago today, I stood for this image that I believed it, and it was the craziest week of my life.
It changed me.
It changed my business.
I was able to show my daughters what it means to stand up for what they believed in, which was so important.
Many opportunities for my business happened because of this photo- being on the cover of Military Spouse magazine, working with the USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia, being on Fox News, and so much more. Many of you are here and follow me because of this image.
I am always so honored when someone recognizes this photo and my attachment. Truly an honor.
I am forever grateful to the Clevenger family, who just had Mr. Landon’s (the #flagbaby himself and the star!) 1st year pictures done. You have no idea how sad I am that I am not there to capture them, but a great photographer friend took his photos, so I know they will be good! Here are a few of my favorites from Mr Landon’s Fresh 48 and newborn session!
I have been blessed with many others who have came to me and asked me specifically to use the American Flag for their photos, and I have and will continue to do so, as long as it is a respectable image!
