"Butterflies don't know the color of their wings, but human eyes know how beautiful it is.
Likewise, you don't know how worth it you are, but I see how beautiful you are.
Let me capture your legacy."
As a child who had the pleasure of growing up here on this beautiful island of Hawaii, my childhood was not one you would expect here in paradise.
Growing up in extreme poverty, fueled by drugs and alcoholic parents, my goal was to find my way in this big beautiful world. At 17 years old, I started that dream and joined the Navy, honored to serve our great country.
At 19 years old, I watched my father take his last breath. He went into the hospital with a broken leg, and never came out. It was at that moment that I realized how important pictures were.
Because I barely had any.
Struggling to find an image for my father obituary, it became clear that these handful of images, about 6 or so, was all of the physical memories I had left of him. I mean, our lives wasn't the greatest, so maybe my parents didn't think it was worth documenting.
But it was.
Those 6 images I have of my father are my dearest treasures. I have no video of him. I can't really remember what his voice even sounded like anymore. Memories fade. Life goes on. But those 6 images, they are everything.
As your photographer, it is my job to document these incredible moments in your life. These images will be passed on to your children and grandchildren, and I take pride in documenting your legacy!
Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, so it's up to you to document your today. Your RIGHT NOW. Your life.
From customizing packages, to being available to help with anything you may need (photography or not), as well as taking care of any stressful moments on the wedding day, I’m there to serve you to the best of my ability and document your most memorable day.
I am a mother, military wife, Navy Veteran, Starbucks lover, runner and a Disney and Harry Potter fanatic! We are a Gryffindor household, even though a Slytherin (my husband), managed to snake his way in ;)
When I'm not photographing a session, you can find me laying at the beach, taking in the smells of the ocean, relaxing with a book and a drink with an umbrella in my hand!! I love running, and recently completed my 20th half marathon!
Becoming a mother is the best thing that has and will ever happen to me in this world!!!
My husband has honorably served our country in the Navy for 17 years, and he is clearly outnumbered with our three daughters, Cheyenne, Jasmine and Tatyana!
"See the line where the sky meets the sea it calls me
And no one knows, how far it goes"
The ocean has always been a source of joy and peace for me. Something about it literally washes all of my troubles away. The smell of the water, the taste of the salt, the blueness of the ocean, makes my soul a peace.
Starbucks is my second home!!!
When I walk into my nearest store, and they know it's me just by my mobile order, it may mean that I go there just a tad bit too much!
Give me my favorite iced coffee with two pumps of white chocolate and half and half!!!
Or when the red cups happen, it's the Creme Brûlée Latte time!
I love everything Disney! I've ran numerous half marathons at both Disneyworld and Disneyland!
My top Disney movies are Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Pocahontas! My oldest daughter name is Jasmine, as I had a dream she would come out with the same skin tone, big eyebrows, and dark hair! And she did!
We are a Gryffindor household, even though a Slytherin (my husband), managed to snake his way in ;)
I read the books in high school and was so excited when my oldest came home with the first book! She read it in two days, said it was the best book she ever read, and well, the rest is history!
I wish it was Christmas all year long!! Yes, I have an unhealthy obsession with Christmas! The music, the lights, the food, the time with family!
Growing up, I never really had good Christmas's. Coming from poverty, the tree was pretty bare, and there wasn't much family time either.
Now, in my home, the minute Thanksgiving is over, the house is transformed to a winter wonderland! Each year I do an advent calendar with my children filled with activities, and I also host my annual favorite things party!
“There’s a lot of beauty in ordinary things, isn’t that kind of the point?”
If you are a fan of The Office, you know at what part that quote comes from! I love The Office probably the most! It's constantly on in the background on Netflix, while I answer emails, editing, or typing this right now!
