I can officially announce something that I’ve been holding on to for MONTHS!!!!
Vanessa Hicks Photography has been named
#1 Wedding Photographer for ALL Hawaiian Islands for the 2018 Readers Choice Award by HAWAII Magazine!!!!
I can’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling right now!
When I got the call in January from Hawaii Magazine that I was the first place winner, I was in total shock! My husband was here and the lady was on speakerphone, and I literally sat on the ground cause my knees were shaking!
This is such an honor for so many reasons!
When I got the call, I has been on the island 9 months. Not a long time at all! But, to have received this 1st place award in that short amount of time is just incredible!
It let me know that I am doing SOMETHING right! That I have made a name for myself on not just Oahu, but on all of the islands. I have taken care of my clients and my vendors! Enough for the readers and the magazine to choose me!
I am so humbled and blessed. I knew 2018 was going to be amazing, I just didn’t realize just how amazing it would be, especially in such a short amount of time! I am in great company with some other amazing photographers as well!!
I got really excited so I just have the digital copy of the magazine! The magazine should hit stores nationwide by next week!

To my husband who has always believed in my, my friends for believing in me, my amazing clients who have trusted me! I can’t WAIT to see what’s in store next! I’m not sure how you really top this one!
