Aloha kakahiaka!
That means ‘good morning’ in Hawaiian!
Today is the first day of May and also known as Lei Day here in Hawai’i!
Held on May 1 each year, May Day is a statewide celebration of the aloha spirit and the giving of the flower lei. A famous song captures the essence of May Day best, “May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii, garlands of flowers everywhere, all of the colors in the rainbow, maidens with blossoms in their hair.”
Picked up this gorgeous lei today and it seriously has my whole dining room smelling amazing!I am so excited because this was a busy week and I feel like work is starting to pick up here in Hawaii, which is a blessing!!
For those of you that are new here and don’t know what the Weekly Roundup blog series is, every Monday I post a roundup of the week before! Posts you may have missed on my Facebook page, images from the weekend, etc! It’s a way to roundup the week, and get ready for a new week!
Check out the images from this past week!
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE living here in Hawaii? Oh , the photos that will be taken here!!!
I am also so happy because I booked not one but TWO gorgeous new #vhbrides! I am so excited for Kelli and Illiana and to capture their engagement sessions soon!
I also made the quickest 48 hour trip to the east coast to photograph Alyssa + Joseph’s Navy Themed Wedding in Baltimore!! 14 hours of travel off the island of Oahu is no fun! But I was so honored to be there for them on their special day!Last week I also celebrated the One year anniversary of my Military Tea Time Photos going viral!! What an amazing year it’s been!
That’s pretty much it for last week! Stay tuned for a busy week filled with gorgeous sessions!
