There’s something about engagement sessions that make me just so incredibly happy! Watching couples in that “honeymoon phase” as they are planning out the rest of their lives!
2020 has been rough for engaged couples though. I can’t even imagine what all of my couples have had to go through, watching plans that they made go out the door due to this global pandemic.
But, luckily for all of us, humans are resilient. We will move forward. And the great thing is, love isn’t canceled!
Jeanny and James had to make adjustments to their wedding, and while I know it had to be difficult to do, they seem to have done it with such grace,and amazing smiles!
We were even able to get some shots at their engagement session with their masks, documenting the times that we are currently in!
And they did it with such grace and beauty!

Jeanny and James beautiful engagement session in Claremont was one of my favs this year! One, you wouldn’t know that a heatwave was going on, and that their session was 104 degrees! But, look at how hot they are, so I think they were the reason why it was so hot out!
The grounds of Scripps College was absolutely beautiful! Certain parts of it made me feel like I was looking at a castle covered in ivy in Italy!! And that GOLDEN California light!! I just can’t even deal with it!
Those final shots with their masks are one of my favorite ones! One day, years from now when the pandemic is a distant memory, they will be able to show future generations these shots and tell them what it was like getting married in 2020, and what life was like!
That’s the best part of my job, documenting your legacy, right now, perfectly imperfect!
