Well, dreams do come true!
And one of those dreams, was to photography my gorgeous friend and professional mermaid Stephanie! She is one of the most recognized professional mermaids here in Hawaii, also known as Mermaid Serenity! Make sure you hop over to her Instagram and tell her I said hi!!!
I met Stephanie about a month or so after I arrived on the island! I have the most amazing time photographing her and her husband for this beautiful shoot, and I found out then that she was a professional mermaid, and I knew I had to photograph her!

So, we said that we would do a shoot, but so many things came up and got in the way!! Then, she told me of a new tail she was having made, and we knew we wanted to shoot it once it arrived!
The day FINALLY came that I was going to have my Hawaiian mermaid shoot, and after waking up at 4:30am to drive an hour or so to our location for sunrise, IT RAINED ON US!
Oh, we were so sad! My dreams of shooting her beautiful tail just was not going to happen! But, we sucked it up , and said lets try tomorrow. Now, if you know me, I’m not a morning person at all, so the thought of two early morning wake up calls did not sound like fun.
But we did it.
And, OH MY WORD, did Hawaii show off for us! The sunrise was so incredibly epic and vibrant!
It was definitely worth the wait!!!
