Enchanted Forest Weddings | Lake Arrowhead
I am CONFIDENT that you are going to fall in love with this magical enchanted forest wedding at Lake Arrowhead! I know it’s one of the most beautiful and favorite weddings I’ve had the honor to photograph!
Not only because of the beautiful castle like ruins in the forest.
Not only because Rosalynn is absolutely stunning!
But because of the how we got here…the story behind it all!
Their wedding got rescheduled THREE TIMES this year…. due to Hawaii travel restrictions, California’s rule on no receptions, and then, the California fires canceled their third option. Seriously, if it was a roller coaster ride for me as their wedding photographer, I know Rosalynn and Kent were on a whole other ride!
Both Rosalynn and Kent work in a LA hospital as a registered nurse and a doctor, helping others especially with COVID. All they wanted to do was get married. And 2020 kept throwing them roadblocks and obstacles, one after another.
Rosalyn sent me an image of this forest and didn’t know if we could find where it was. After hours of stalking, researching, calling people and looking over Google Earth, I found her her fairytale location. I had never been to Lake Arrowhead before, but I was DETERMINED to make this happen for her.

I had a plan B and C that we had in store, but as Rosalyn said “we trust you.”
And I hope I did well by them.

The light, the forest, the castle ruins, this couple, literally EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT on this special day! Rosalynn’s sister had a wedding table setup for them with things from around their home, to even include the beautiful pompass grass, and it allowed Kent and Rosalynn to do a cake cutting and pop some champagne!

One of the best parts about all of this was the incredible review Kent and Rosalynn left for me after their elopement!!
Vanessa in an amazing photographer. We are so happy with how our wedding photos turned out. She was so flexible and accommodating, we changed locations multiple times (including across the pacific ocean!) and she still wanted to take photographs for us. She made us feel relaxed and we had such a fun day with her.
Congratulations Kent and Rosalynn! Thank you for all that you have done this year to save so many lives, while risking your own. I hope you treasure these memories for years to come!
