Hello June!
Can you believe that we are already half way through 2018?!?
It’s going by so very fast! Stay tuned this week to see an update of my yearly goals!!!
But, in the mean time, a new month means a new blank page and new goals!! May was another incredible month, and I am so happy with all that happened!

My birthday!!
Did you know that I actually wound up in the emergency on my birthday!!! Yeah, not a fun way to start of 33, but, that’s ok!!! The family and I celebrated a few days later!! Check out my goals for my 33rd year!
Expanded my brand to California!!
That’s right! If you missed the blog post, Vanessa Hicks Photography is expanding to California and beyond!!! Just booked a wedding in San Diego and Arizona since the announcement, and I can’t wait to see where I wind up next! Check out a sneak of this gorgeous elopement session I did at La Jolla Cove in California while I was there!
Headed to San Diego for The Knot Workshop!
Timed perfectly with the announcement of the expansion, I attended The Knot Workshop and the beautiful US Grant Hotel in San Diego! My amazing friend Jennifer with Jennifer Ryals Photography met me there from Texas, and my best friend Justine came down from San Francisco for the day! Lot’s of networking with wedding vendors in San Diego, and I learned so much as well!
Did a photoshoot at Disneyland!!!
I mean, this shoot was a DREAM COME TRUE!!! Sarah is the owner of Girl Talk Network, and not only were we at one of our favorite places ever, but I left with a new friend! Her passion for empowering women is SO infections, and I left completely inspired by her! Make sure you check it out and head over and follow her as well!
Attended a workshop in Maui!
My amazing friends Jess and James Whitaker came to Maui and did a full day wedding workshop at The Steeple House and it was amazing! Not only did I get to learn and spend the day with two of my favorite photographers, who are also speaking at United Conference this year, but we had such a beautiful session afterwards!
Now, on to June’s Goals! Let’s get ready to crush this month!
Personal:
- Get girls signed up for Fall Sports
- Lose 5lbs this month
- Beach Day once a week!
- Schedule summer family shoot
- Go Parasailing with Josh!
Business:
- Put final touches on my Mastermind Course!! Stay tuned for more information!!!
- Spend an hour on Business Education each day!
- Get signed up for TSA Pre Check
- Grow IG following to 5K this month
- Plan next Styled Shoot!
