I seriously can not believe that this week my business turns TWO YEARS OLD!!!
What an amazing ride its been!
As I sit here, I wanted to reflect on how great this past year has been, and think on what I want to accomplish going into my third year of business!
Reflecting on year Two, here are some of the major things that have happened this past year:
*We moved to California!*
After spending 16 days on an amazing cross country trip, we landed in the gorgeous Monterey,! I have loved every minute in this gorgeous place!
*I hosted my first styled shoot!!*
And it will be published! Thinking of an idea and watching it come to life was the best feeling in the world!
*Speaking of getting published, I have been blessed to see my work featured and published many times this past year*
I never thought of submitting my work to blogs or anything like that, but then blogs did accept my submissions, and its been an honor! Here is just a few of the features! Make sure you click on the logo to check it out!!
*I had yet ANOTHER Viral Image!!!*
I know that they say lightning doesn’t strike twice, but how the heck did I manage to have not one, but TWO viral photos??? SO incredible! It started with Huffington Post contacting me when they saw my ad for the Military Tea Time Sessions. When they posted the photos, it just took off! I was even blessed to have one of the families come with me on Fox and Friends LIVE! And I can’t wait to share with you that the images will be published in Rangefinder Magazine, which is one of the biggest photography magazines in the industry!!
And….even Britney Spears got wind of it and shared it!! How Freakin’ Sweet!
*I booked 6 stunning weddings*
For only being here a short time, I wasn’t sure how my business would take off. I am so blessed that it did in fact take off, and honored that I am able to document 6 amazing couples on what will be one of the best days of their lives!
*I have met the most amazing clients and friends!*
I have photographed over 150 families this past year. I have photographed some of these families multiple times, from their maternity session, to the birth of their child, and family reunions! I have photographed a couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, and another couple celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary! I’ve witnessed births, snuggled newborns, played with toddlers, joked with young adults entering their senior year, photographed the most gorgeous mothers to be, and captured many, many family smiles!
Sure, there were tears, drama from outsiders, and days that I wanted to quite, but I didn’t. I kept moving forward, and hoped that I would be able to continue to live this dream of mine! I can’t wait to see what this next year has to hold for me! There will be more changes and obstacles, as my family prepares for yet another military move, but I am hopeful that everything will be good! Tomorrow, I will share with you guys my goals and dreams for my third year of business!!
