Hello everyone!! Can you believe its the last week of October?!? My girls are so excited to carve pumpkins this week and go trick or treating this weekend!! And then, we dive right into November and the official start of the holiday season!! WOW!! 2015 is almost over…let that sink in for a minute!!

I am always asked how do I work with young children during family sessions to keep them entertained for an hour, and to get a great shot of them!
First off, we always Shake it Off (Think Taylor Swift). Kids, especially young ones, do not want to be sitting still for ANY amount of time.
Secondly, I prep the parents. I let them know the time limit certain age groups will give us, based on my experience and circumstances like the weather and time of day. I will not push a child for a shot if it just isn’t their day.
And Lastly, HAVE FUN! I have to connect with the kids for them to want to smile for me! We have fun! I talk to them, I laugh with them, and there is ALWAYS time for a silly shot!!
