Again, this has been such an amazing year for my business, seriously, I have no idea how the heck I can even TOP it!
But for now, I wanted to share my favorite business moments that have happened this past year in Hawaii!
I had SUCH a hard time narrowing these down!!!
But, here are my top 10 favorite business moments of my first year in Hawaii!!
Visiting the other island for sessions!
You guys, I have been traveling non stop! Granted, flying to the other islands takes less than 45 mins (which is shorter than me being stuck in traffic out there to go to a session!) In my first year in Hawaii, I flew to the other islands 26 times!! WHAT!!
No wonder why some of the TSA agents and flight attendants recognize me! I’ve been to Big Island 6 times, Maui and Kauai 10 times each!!! No wonder they are my favorite islands!
Amazing year to have my work published!
This year I was blessed enough to have my work featured on so many of my favorite sites! My work was published 55 times, including a cover image on the Destination Bliss Magazine! Some of my favorite features was on Hawaii Bride and Groom, Strictly Weddings, Every Last Detail, PopSugar, Storyboard Wedding, Wedding Chicks, Aisle Perfect, Burnetts Boards and many more! It’s always such an amazing feeling to see your work published and featured!
I was honored with some amazing awards!
Some amazing awards include The Knot Best of Weddings, Wedding Wire’s Couples Choice Awards, Two Bright Lights Editors Choice Award, and Expertise Top 26 Wedding Photographers in Honolulu! Plus the amazing Shoot and Share results!
Not too bad!! And such a wonderful honor!

I had to break down the numbers for this year’s shoots!
18 weddings and elopements,
27 engagement and couples,
20 styled/creative shoots, &
44 portrait sessions!
Im pretty happy with that number!! It seriously was a year of so much love and beauty captured!

Spoke for 2 educational platforms!
I am looking to expand my brand to include teaching other amazing photographers, and I got to do that twice so far, one for the Winter Shift with 7 Summers and one for Copper Kettle! I can’t wait for most speaking engagements this year! Stay tuned 😉
Attending the best photography conference!
Yes, for a second year in a row, I hopped on a plane and went to ShowIt United, and it was INCREDIBLE! It was nice to catch up with my Monterey gals, and meet new friends like the amazing Julie Paisley! Plus, see my photography idol Jasmine Star! Can’t wait for the 2018 conference!

I have met some incredible vendors this past year! When you live on an island, its even more imperative to take care of your vendors and who you network with, because its such a close knit community! And of course, my favorite most incredible thing that happened this year, was being voted #1 Wedding Photographer by Hawaii Magazine for 2018!
I am still so incredibly shocked by it!!
