Hawaii Elopement Photographer | March 2017 Goals!

Hello March!!

Not really sure where the month of February went, but holy cow!! It went down fast! We are officially in the 3rd month of the year, and WHOA, this month is going to be a busy month as it’s our FINAL month here in California, before our family relocates to Hawaii!

It’s coming up so fast, and I seriously can not believe that I will be a Hawaii Wedding and Portrait Photographer in a few short weeks!

As I wrap things up here in California, I am looking back on my goals for February!   Unfortunately, not many things got completed. As there was so much we had to prep for, schedule and such for this move, the focus was just all over the place! But, I am happy with what I did accomplish last month!

Again, I have to be kind to myself, knowing that I am in the process of a move! Things will be a bit slow in terms of building clientele and such, but patience will be key! My goals for March will definitely be more personal based, but there are definitely still a lot of business things to do here in California!

Personal:

1. Start purging my house! I have created a cleaning schedule for the month of March, and each day starting next week, I will be tackling certain things. While the military does pack and ship us to Hawaii, I want to make sure I go through everything, get rid of stuff, and get things ready for the movers! You have to be careful, they will pack your trash if you don’t tell them not too! (True story, they did this when I moved from Virginia to Connecticut, and man, that box STUNK when we arrived!)
2. Finish one book this month! I have REALLY been slacking on this 🙁
3. Head to Texas to visit my mom (I am on the flight now!)
4. Get outfits for husbands graduation, which happens to fall on our 4 year wedding anniversary!
5. Ship cars and start hotel living at the end of the month! Oh the joys of hotel living!

Business:

1. Close up shop here in California! I felt like it was just a little while ago I was opening my business here in California, now, it’s time to close the doors here. Very sad, and there will be a blog post coming about that soon 🙁
2. Order new business cards for Hawaii
3. Send camera gear to Canon to get cleaned before leaving to Hawaii! Want to make sure my gear is ready to go for all of the new sessions (hopefully) in Hawaii!
4. “Goodbye” Blog Posts. Include a review of the 18 months I was here, lessons learned, favorite sessions, and much more!
5. Book one Hawaii Wedding!!!

So, that is a look at my goals for this month! While I have a couple of sessions left this month, my focus will be closing out my business and preparing for my move! Hawaii photo sessions, I will be busy working with you all as well! If there happens to be a delay in my responses, please know I will be answering them asap! There will come a point that I am out of internet at my house, and who knows how hotel internet will be! Starbucks will truly be my hangout!
