Happy Thursday everyone!!! This week is just flying by! I’ve had sessions everyday this week except for today, as my husband and I are finally cashing in on his Fathers Day gift and we are going to watch the 49ers and Seahawks play!! GO NINERS! If you are a Seahawks fan, we can’t be friends, Just kidding!!
So, today for Thoughtful Thursday, I thought I would share this quote with you!
Yesterday, I did a wonderful senior session with a beautiful young lady! The catch? She already had her senior pictures done, by a different photographer!
But she wasn’t happy with them. Not that the images were bad, but they were not HER! She mentioned what she wanted from her session, and the photographer essentially blew her off and did what HE wanted.
This got me thinking about how important it is for us as photographers to LISTEN to our clients! I constantly tell my clients that these are not MY photos, they are yours. And YOU should be happy with them. If you don’t like posed images, we won’t do it! If you want to play in the water for your session, then that is what we will do!
While I will always offer advice on the type of location, best time of day to shoot, lighting, clothing options, I always pay attention to what my clients want. They should walk away from a session with me happy, knowing that this was a great day, a great session! I truly believe my client yesterday was so much happier after her session!
My goal for you today is do something to make someone happy! Give a hug, buy a drink, send your friend a handwritten note, call your parents, BE KIND!
